Paul Liu, Cofounder

Paul Liu is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of the company. Prior to founding Essay Match, Mr. Liu was a successful advisor to applicants that were accepted to top-ranked undergraduate and graduate schools. Focusing primarily on essay and personal statement development, Mr. Liu's clients achieved acceptance rates that were nearly five times higher than school averages. The successful admissions consulting inspired Mr. Liu to ultimately develop Essay Match. In his professional career, Mr. Liu has held management positions in technology, finance, and healthcare industries for global Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Liu holds a B.A. in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, and a M.A. in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.

Sven Rossbach, Cofounder

Sven Rossbach is responsible for business development partnerships and the Company's product portfolio. Mr. Rossbach brings to Essay Match over 12 years of experience in product management, business development and marketing throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States. He joined Essay Match from Ask.com, where he focused his efforts on the company's image search and tool bars. In addition to his native German language, Mr. Rossbach is also fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English.

Mr. Rossbach holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of West Saxony, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, and a M.A. in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jeffrey Chan, Chief Technology Officer

Jeffrey Chan serves as Chief Technology Officer and in that role defines the technical direction of the Essay Match platform. Mr. Chan brings to the team over 12 years of experience as an engineer and software development manager. Prior to joining Essay Match, Mr. Chan held technical management positions for a diverse set of startup companies that were funded by leading Bay Area venture capitalist firms such as Benchmark Capital and Sierra Ventures. Throughout his career, Mr. Chan's interests have concentrated on product definition, software development, quality assurance, product marketing and network operations.

Mr. Chan holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Irvine.
